Besides the fact that it is a paysite (tsk tsk) they <i>will </i>share your personal information and they have done it in the past. TSR is notorious for hacking sites, shutting them down and often replacing them with pornography trying to eliminate the free competition. Many of you are familiar with the Sims Magazine Living Sims, I'm a member there and I always enjoy reading their wonderful professional magazine, they were hacked several months ago when TSR started their magazine along with one of my favorite object creators Awesims. Anto at CoolSims has also received numerous hacking attempts.<br /><br />I feel so bad for the sheep who get sucked into TSR, there are so many better sites out there that are completely free, don't share information, don't put worms and trackers into downloads and actually love the sims for the game instead of trying to scam you out of your money. I hope you will inform yourself at <a href="http://tsr.mustbedestroyed.org/">http://tsr.mustbedestroyed.org/</a><br /><br />I'd also like to point out for a moment that we should not blame the creators, there are some great creators at TSR that do work just as well as the rest of the sims community. I have downloaded some things from TSR but I always run it through the virus scanner first, encourage TSR creators to depart and create their own blogs (if they lose their creators then they won't make any money). And to other blog owners, back-up regularly! When people complain about us not including Newsea meshes in our retextures it is for our own safety, even then it's probably still risky.<br /><br />Don't give in to TSR, inform others about their misdeeds and avoid them at all costs. If they don't get the subscriptions then they are powerless. Be sure to be safe and check downloads for worms, back up your sites regularly. First off EA's made them look like swollen ham faces but their clothing selection certainly doesn't help. For the first two EPs EA did a lot of stuff for teens, the problem was that the stuff was hideous. For LN EA did a ton of great clothing except EA completely ignored the teens. Elders aren't much better off (they shall be next). Using my toddler model Dawn as a guide I made this little picture! I'm not a good artist (and I'm not one of those people who say they are bad but actually do beautiful work XD)&nbsp; even though I like art so I hope you enjoy this anyway... It feels like I've been updating a lot! I got bored working on my speech today (GAAH!!! I HATE SPEECHES!) and so I picked up this hair. I'm really surprised that no one's done anything to it before now. I got it yesterday and it's really fun, definitely the best EP so far imo, the build/buy mode additions are game changing (in a building way), I'm really motivated to start (another) world that I most likely will never finish XD EA's buildings are really ugly but the things that builders are going to be able to do will be amazing! School is keeping me plenty busy, I've also been playing the game (TS2 actually) and I'm notoriously bad at multitasking, I usually create when I'm bored with the game, I'm not bored but I wanted to release <i>something </i>just to show that I'm still around. So last night I worked and converted <a href="http://linna.modthesims.info/download.php?t=306170">this cute halter top by Fishie</a> that I use a lot in TS2. Originally it was going to be child-elder but I couldn't find an appropriate mesh for the elders (it uses a BG mesh btw, child version is on a mesh by kiara <a href="http://linna.modthesims.info/download.php?t=419760">here</a>) so yeah it's only child-adult. The file size was really bloated though because he included some unnecessary textures which I fixed, it cut the file size from 10 MB to 5. I never really liked Dreamwidth, I find that Blogger is easier to work with and more people use it so <i>hopefully </i>that'll mean more visitors and <b>comments</b>!<br /><br />Summer is over and I don't have as much time to update, when I was moving the blog I came across a post that I wrote at the beginning of the Summer.<br /><br />"Yay! After a really busy month Summer is finally here! Idk about anyone else but I need a break! I have big goals for the Summer and I&nbsp;REALLY&nbsp;want to expand. I'm not a creator who just sticks to one kind of content I'm pretty scattered, I've touched basically every modding field out there. This summer I really want to advance myself as a creator. Right now no one knows who I am or about this blog, I hope by the end of the summer that I actually have some fans... I also hope to get meshing DOWN!!!!!!!&nbsp;I am really sick of not being able to convert or mesh!&nbsp;I think I could add a lot to the community but I really need to understand blender/CTU better. Also this summer I hope to release a world <br /><br />Lot's of stuff coming at you guys so hold on tight :)"<br /><br />I'm happy to say I accomplished nearly all those goals, When I posted that on June 9th I had done like 2 or 3 retextures which were really bad! Now I feel confident in retexturing. Some people actually like the stuff I do! I haven't really meshed much of my own stuff but I do feel good about age conversions and stuff like that.... new meshes will come in time, I didn't release a world, but that's mainly because CAW was down for a lot of the summer.....<br /><br />As for new goals? The bone tool works!!!!!! This means that I&nbsp;will be able to do a lot more conversions! <br /><br />Now the bad news, obviously as you can see the bandwidth issues have not been worked out yet, the plan I had failed obviously so at this point it's either buy bandwidth or move EVERYTHING to a new host (don't wanna do that)<br /><br />Now for more bad news, tomorrow I head back to school so I will have way less time to update. I 'm actually really excited for this year though, I'm entering high school which should be cool and I'm also taking some challenging classes (yes I am a nerd :D), I'm still pretty nervous though because I'm a bit of a procrastinator!&nbsp; <br /><br />So it's a big time of change! So... I don't know if anyone feels the same way but EA's clothing selection for children sucks!&nbsp;Especially for swimwear because we had like 2 choices of outfits for them, either shorts and a top which is a little odd and isn't really swimwear or a one piece which is alright but it was kinda ugly and I know that children do have a little bit more variety than that. So I converted that one cute bikini for adults to children and man was it tough!&nbsp;It took a long time but I think I got it to a point where it looks decent! I expect to get burned on it because it really isn't a style a child would wear, maybe for a preteen but yeah it's totally unrealistic, I just was desperate for a little variety... don't hate me for it! Savio's textures aren't ridiculously bad but I have to say, Anubis has converted me, I am now a full believer in the "real highlights" thing, I still think that it looks horrible if you want <b>real</b> highlights that are totally different than your main hair color but I think that it is better than the other way.... If I made it any thinner then it overlapped the sims face a lot and I thought that that looked worse than the way it is now, it's simply hard to do an age conversion of some hairs, please don't bitch at me about it because I know it's bad, I just don't have the meshing skills to do a better job of it! The success is that I found out that I can do age conversions of long hair without losing bone assignments! The failure is that I've found out that you can't convert long hair to toddlers without some major editing... You either really hate this hair or you love it, personally I'm somewhere in the middle, I think that it would work well if you used it on the correct sim (which none of my models are), so hopefully some of you have some unique sims out there that like this hair! So it's a little annoying when children/toddlers get the shaft, it's not that hard to convert for children/toddlers so I don't know why more creators don't do it. Just from looking at the screenshots you can tell that I fixed a lot of things from previous hairs. I'm using a new texture by Anubis/Pooklet which I have always really loved. There is a speculator problem which causes the hair to be shiny in CAS however <b>it is not visible in the game!</b> I'm really sorry about that, I know that it's a common issue but I couldn't find any solution to it, if anyone help me with this I would be most thankful and would fix it right away. Also as you can see from the screens there is a little mesh deformation on the scalp, it's not very noticable unless you look at sims from that angle, and even then it's not a huge deal. After a really busy month Summer is finally here! Idk about anyone else but I need a break! I have big goals for the Summer and I REALLY want to expand. I'm not a creator who just sticks to one kind of content I'm pretty scattered, I've touched basically every modding field out there. This summer I really want to advance myself as a creator. Right now no one knows who I am or about this blog, I hope by the end of the summer that I actually have some fans... I also hope to get meshing DOWN!!!!!!! I am really sick of not being able to convert or mesh! I think I could add a lot to the community but I really need to understand blender/CTU better. (I don't know how I survived without the opacity tool!)
